Telluride Chili
2 lbs. Spicy Sausage (Italian hot or Chorizo) 2 lbs. Hamburger 1 Bottle Freshies Hot Mary Bloody Mary Mix 2 Cloves Garlic, minced 1 Yellow Onion, chopped 1 4-oz. Can Green Chiles, sliced 4 1-lb. Cans of Whole Tomatoes 2 Fresh Tomatoes, diced |
1 4-oz. Can Jalapenos, sliced 2 Fresh Anaheim Peppers, chopped 1 8-oz. Can Black Beans (optional) ½ c. Chili Powder 3 T. Cumin ¼ c. Cilantro, finely chopped Salt and Pepper to taste |
| In a large stock pot, sauté garlic in olive oil until brown. Add meats and spices. Cook thoroughly and drain off fat. Combine remaining ingredients and simmer for at least 2 hours. |
| Garnish with sour cream and shredded sharp cheddar. Enough for 6 with plenty of left-overs. |
